Arnold V. Klingler

I am the founder and proprietor of Keyboard Tuning & Repair for almost 40 years. I am a concert level tuner, technician and rebuilder. My shop is capable of manufacturing parts for instruments too old or not standard and, therefore, not available. Occasionally, harpsichords, accordions and even reed organs and melodeons come through my shop for service. Truly an old world craftsman, I am one of only a few left who know how to make a hand-made keyboard.

I have been a professional musician for more than 40 years involved both in solo and band performance. I have founded Keyboard Orchestrations, a business specializing in musical entertainment. My interests have always been jazz and dance music of most periods, and many ethnic styles of folk music. As a musicologist, I have studied the histories and styles of many types of music providing me with the knowledge necessary to properly perform. I have taught music, primarily keyboard instruments, including piano, organ, accordion and electronic keyboards, for many years. Being a musician, I have had a special understanding of both the pianist and his instrument.

I was presented the National Leadership Award and served as Honorary Chairman of the Business Advisory Council for New Jersey in 2003 and again in 2006. In 2006 I was also awarded the National Businessman's Award. I have been awarded the Congressional Medal of Distinction in 2006 and The Congressional Order of Merit in 2007, and he Presidential Commission in 2008.

These honors come from the National Republican Congressional  Committee (NRCC), and is a very significant accomplishment. It is the highest award given by the NRCC.

NRCC Chairman Tom Reynolds explained that the awards are given to a select group of business and community leaders from each state who have championed the free enterprise system and supported the ideals of smaller government, lower taxes and less regulation. Only an elite group of business and professional people were nominated to receive these awards before the awards selection committee reached a final decision.

Congressman Reynolds said, “Mr. Klingler has served as an Honorary Chairman of the Business Advisory Council and has provided much needed support. This award could not have gone to a more deserving candidate.” (2006) and Congressman Cole said, "This is our highest honor and it's well deserved - Congratulations!" (2007). The Business Advisory Council is part of the NRCC, and is dedicated to making sure that small business has a voice in Washington.

I am the father of two wonderful young adults. As a community service, I have been a Boy Scout counselor/advisor for many years, and a track coach to both young and, currently, high school athletes for many more years. And I have a number of private interests, including marine fish.
